ACTIVITY AND EVENTS:

BLIND VETERANS ANNUAL DINNER.

Each year the Chicago Chapter sponsors and hosts a dinner for the veterans undergoing training at Hines VA Hospital facility. This event is unusually held in close proximity to the St. Patrick's Day weekend and we put on a very up-beat party with favors and gifts to each veteran in attendance.


POW-MIA ST. PATRICK'S DAY MARCH

In past years the Chicago Chapter has participated in the POW-MIA AWARENESS GROUP March in the St. Patrick's Day Annual Parade in Chicago.

 

ANNUAL' BULLDOG OPEN 'GOLF OUTING

Few of our members are real golfers, but we have annual golf outing every June which is well attended and a lot of fun! With golf scores that would qualify you for expert on the "A" range, we beat the balls to death and have a great time.

ANNUAL PICNIC

Each year we hold a picnic for the members, families and friends at a local park. Food, beer, pop and games make for a great time.

REMEMBERING GUADALCANAL

August 7th to February 7th to honor the 1st Marine Division and the veterans who took part in this epic battle which was the first aggressive action by the U.S. during WWII. This event is highlighted by an ad book which features the highlights of the battle, particular actions by the 1st Marine Division, facts about the Division and the Association and a dinner.

BIRTHDAY BRUNCH
